World Cup

I’m really excited for this year’s World Cup. It’s a great international event, in the same class as the Olympics. For the 2006 World Cup, I was in Rwanda and I had lots of fun watching the games in a real soccer country. This year, it might be a bit more difficult to catch all of the matches, but I hope to see as many as possible.

Master’s Thesis

This weekend I’m graduating with my Master’s degree in computer engineering from Washington State University. It’s been a long journey with many challenges along the way, but it feels good to be done.

“Run Like a Maniac” Dam Fun Run

Today Kristen and I ran in the first annual “Run Like a Maniac” Dam Fun Run in Orofino.

The course was an out-and-back 5k that featured a killer hill at the halfway point. The organizers got special permission from the Army Corps of Engineers to let us run over the top of the Dworshak Dam, which was quite a feat in this era of terrorism and Homeland Security. The weather was cool and drizzly, perfect conditions for a race. Around 100 people participated, which seems like a pretty good turnout for an inaugural race.

We had lots of fun! You can see pictures on KylanAndKristen.com.
